Gaming mouse prices: same model, twice the price

People usually buy a gaming mouse in five minutes: you spot a familiar model and hit "buy". That is a mistake. We compared prices for 36 mice and found models where being in a hurry costs you twice as much.

How much do gaming mice cost in different stores?

The situation on 01.11.2026: one price per store, the lowest, per model, in stock only:

For 15 of the 36 models, the gap between the lowest and highest price is 30% or more. If you buy at the median price instead of the lowest, you pay about 179 lei extra on average. For a 400–600 lei mouse that is a third of the price, or another good mouse pad.

Why does the same mouse cost different amounts?

Stores buy from different suppliers at different times, with different margins and different discount policies. Some keep a "full" price and run promotions; others keep prices low all the time. That is why the biggest gaps show up on mass-market models: the DeathAdder Essential and Basilisk V3 are sold by 9–10 stores, and the G102 by five.

There are counter-examples too. The Razer Viper V3 HyperSpeed is sold by 8 stores and prices are almost identical: 1,766 to 1,817 lei, a 3% gap. And at Darwin and Enter the prices of many Razer mice match to the leu.

The stores where mice are most often cheapest

We counted how many times each store has the lowest price among the 36 models (ties count for both):

Topsale most often has the lowest price, especially on Logitech: the G502 X for 999 lei, for example. XStore is good value on Razer: the DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed for 1,499 lei against a median of 2,249 lei. But no store is cheapest on everything: Topsale leads in only 11 cases out of 36.

Mouse prices have barely changed since summer

Unlike graphics cards and smartphones, they have hardly moved at all. We compared 126 offers with their 15 July prices: the median change is 0%, with 35 prices up and 27 down. Mice do not depend on expensive memory the way graphics cards, laptops and smartphones do, where TrendForce forecasts rising DRAM and NAND contract prices in Q4 2026.

How not to overpay for a gaming mouse

1. Compare the price in at least 3–4 stores. With a median gap of 26%, it is the easiest way to save.
2. Check the exact model. The DeathAdder Essential, DeathAdder V3 and DeathAdder V3 Pro are different mice, with prices that differ by up to six times.
3. Check the colour. The white DeathAdder Essential costs from 499 lei, the black one from 399 lei.
4. Don't take the "old price" at face value. The consumer protection inspectorate recommends comparing a discount with the lowest price of the last 30 days.
5. Compare with the median price. If a store asks more than the median, there is almost certainly a cheaper offer.

What to buy: picks by budget

Under 500 lei. The Razer DeathAdder Essential (from 399 lei at Darwin and Enter) or the Logitech G102 (from 445 lei at Atehno): wired mice for beginners.

Under 1,000 lei. The Razer Basilisk V3 (999 lei in 5 stores at once) or the Razer Cobra (from 771 lei at Smart).

Under 2,000 lei. The Logitech G502 X (from 999 lei), the Razer DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed (from 1,499 lei at XStore) and the Razer Viper V3 HyperSpeed (from 1,766 lei).

Flagship. The Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro from 2,499 lei and the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 DEX from 2,679 lei. Here too the gap between stores is large: 1,265 lei on the DeathAdder V3 Pro.

How much does going wireless cost?

Take the DeathAdder V3 series: the wired Razer DeathAdder V3 costs from 1,199 lei (PandaShop), the wireless DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed from 1,499 lei (XStore), and the flagship DeathAdder V3 Pro from 2,499 lei. So the wireless version costs at least 300 lei more. But if you buy the HyperSpeed at the median price of 2,249 lei rather than the lowest, it costs almost as much as the Pro.

October's biggest discounts were on mice

Oddly enough, the biggest percentage cuts in the whole catalog at the end of October were on mice. Here are the ones that held until the 31st:

The same G502 X Plus fell by 670 lei at Topsale and by 270 lei at XStore: one more example of how much the discount depends on the store. Mouse prices jump around a lot, so we kept only the cuts that were not reversed the next day.

Is it worth waiting for the sales?

Mice have not got more expensive since summer, so if you have found a good price, go ahead and buy. For reference: 399 lei for the DeathAdder Essential, 445 lei for the G102 and 999 lei for the Basilisk V3. A November "discount" that leaves you paying more is not a discount.
