RTX 50 graphics card prices in Moldova: +22% since July

If you are building a PC this autumn, you already know: the graphics card eats the budget faster than anything else. We tracked how RTX 50 prices changed in 11 stores since mid-July, and found models where the maths unexpectedly favours the more powerful card.

How much do RTX 50 graphics cards cost in Moldova?

The catalog lists 98 RTX 50 models sold by 11 stores. The lowest price is most often at XStore and Smart; according to our data, XStore has the lowest price on 70% of the graphics cards it sells.

Graphics cards are up 22% since summer

The median price change for the same offer between 15 July and 31 October 2026:

Of 235 offers, 224 got more expensive and only 7 got cheaper. There is some good news, though: the main jump came in July and August. Since 1 September the median has risen 4.5%, and in October 2.9%. Prices are not falling, but the pace has clearly slowed.

Why have graphics cards become so expensive?

It is a global trend. On 29 October 2026 VideoCardz reported, citing a Hardware Unboxed study, that graphics card prices rose about 35% in three months: 15% in August, 7% in September and 10% in October. The RTX 5080 in the US went from $1,580 to $2,200, and on average graphics cards sell 44% above their recommended launch prices (excluding the RTX 5090).

The main cause is memory. In its 30 September 2026 report, TrendForce expects contract prices for conventional DRAM to rise 10–15% in Q4, and NAND 15–20%, as manufacturers prioritise AI servers. Which RTX 50 card should you choose now?

RTX 5050 (from 8,258 lei): the cheapest way into RTX 50 for Full HD gaming. Its lowest price rose from 7,709 to 8,258 lei.

RTX 5060 (from 8,971 lei) and RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB (from 12,180 lei): the mass-market segment. But 8 GB of video memory is sometimes not enough for new games.

RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB or RTX 5070 (from 21,288 lei)? It all depends on the version. The white ASUS Dual OC 16 GB starts at 20,787 lei (Uno), and the black one at 21,589 lei (Enter). With a gap of a few hundred lei we would not think twice: the RTX 5070 is noticeably faster. The ASUS Dual EVO OC 16 GB is a different story: 15,849 lei at Smadshop and 16,039 lei at PandaShop, 5,439 lei less than the cheapest RTX 5070. At that price the 5060 Ti 16 GB is still a good choice for 1080p, and for 1440p without maxed-out settings. In summer the gap was much smaller: on 15 July the same Dual EVO OC cost 14,940 lei and the cheapest RTX 5070 15,999 lei.

RTX 5070 Ti (from 28,916 lei) and RTX 5080 (from 39,507 lei): for 1440p and 4K. This is where the gaps are biggest: an RTX 5080 costs between 39,507 and 50,090 lei depending on the model and store, and the same ASUS Prime OC ranges from 39,618 lei at Smart to 46,390 lei.

RTX 4070 Super: last-generation stock

RTX 4070 Super stock is still on sale: the MSI RTX 4070 Super Ventus 2X costs 15,911 lei at Neocomputer. That is 5,377 lei less than the cheapest RTX 5070. RTX 40 prices have not changed since summer, but each model is sold by a single store, so stock is limited.

• RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB: Dual EVO OC at Smadshop, 15,849 lei; Dual OC White at Uno, 20,787 lei.
• RTX 5070 Prime OC: at Smart, 21,458 lei; Aorus OC at PandaShop, 21,288 lei.
• RTX 5070 Ti: AORUS Master at PandaShop, 28,916 lei; at XStore from 30,299 lei (Windforce OC).
• RTX 5080 Prime OC: at Smart, 39,618 lei.

Rare price cuts at the end of October

There was no across-the-board drop, but a few stores did move their price tags in the second half of October and did not put them back by the end of the month:

At BigShop the cut of about 0.9% covered 12 ASUS and Gigabyte cards, from the RTX 3050 to the RTX 5070 Ti; it looks more like an adjustment than a sale. We checked that each card was in stock on both dates: a discount on something you can't buy helps nobody.

Is it worth waiting for Black Friday to buy a graphics card?

We would not count on it. TrendForce expects memory prices to keep rising, and graphics cards worldwide have got more expensive every month since August. If you need a card now, use the lowest prices above as your guide and compare stores. Only a very generous promotion could bring back the summer price of 17,131 lei for the RTX 5070 Prime OC, and so far there is no sign of one.
