AirPods prices in Moldova: AirPods 4 ANC down 10%

Headphones are one of the few categories where autumn 2026 brought price cuts instead of rises. Anyone waiting for the AirPods 4 with noise cancellation got lucky. With AirPods Pro the situation is odd: right now it is easier than you might think to overpay for the old model.

How much do AirPods cost in Moldova?

What is on sale and at what price on 01.11.2026:

The AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 ANC are the most widely stocked models, sold by 10 and 11 stores respectively. The AirPods Pro 2 are left in only four stores: it is a previous-generation model and stock is running out.

AirPods 4 ANC: a clear drop in October

The median store price on 1 and 31 October 2026:

The AirPods 4 ANC are the only model in the line-up with a noticeable drop. On 1 October most stores sold them for 3,999 lei; by the end of the month the typical price was 3,499 lei, 500 lei (12.5%) less. Of the 11 stores, 9 cut the price and two left it unchanged. The cheapest option was 2,999 lei at Darwin, 700 lei less than the same store charged on 1 October. On 1 November Darwin raised it to 3,099 lei, but that is still the lowest price on the market.

The change in lowest price during October:

For comparison, phones got more expensive on average over the same period, while headphones are one of the few categories where prices are falling. According to our index, headphones are 1.3% cheaper than in July.

Why are AirPods Pro 2 often more expensive than AirPods Pro 3?

It is a common paradox when generations change. The AirPods Pro 3 came out on 19 September 2025 and, according to Apple, cost $249 in the US, about 4,491 lei at the NBM rate before tax. In Moldova they sell from 5,209 lei at BigShop. Meanwhile the AirPods Pro 2 sell in three stores for 6,489–6,715 lei, more than the newer model. The one exception is Darwin, where the old model costs 4,499 lei, 710 lei below the lowest Pro 3 price.

According to Apple, the AirPods Pro 3 have noise cancellation up to twice as effective as the AirPods Pro 2, up to 8 hours of listening with ANC (33% more than the previous generation), a heart-rate sensor for workouts, IP57 protection and Live Translation. Paying more for the Pro 2 than for the Pro 3 makes no sense; at 4,499 lei, however, they are a reasonable choice if last generation's features are enough for you.

Which AirPods should you choose?

AirPods 4 (from 2,499 lei): if you need comfortable earbuds for calls and music, without noise cancellation.

AirPods 4 ANC (from 3,099 lei): the best value after the October drop: an open design, but with active noise cancellation. Only 600 lei more than the regular AirPods 4.

AirPods Pro 3 (from 5,209 lei): for the bus, the plane and the gym: the best noise cancellation, an in-ear design with tips and a heart-rate sensor.

AirPods Max 2 (from 12,999 lei): over-ear headphones for home and the office. Their lowest price has dropped 500 lei since 1 October.
